The Tetragrammaton (/ˌtɛtrəˈɡræmətɒn/; from the Greek Τετραγράμματον, meaning “[consisting of] four letters”), יהוה in Hebrew and YHWH in Latin script, is the four-letter biblical name for the God of Israel.
This piece was privately commissioned by the owners of Genesis restaurant in London.
The entire piece is made of copper, brass and nickel silver, all of which was cut from flat sheet by hand and then beaten to shape.
This is one of the largest pieces I have made to date. It fills a circular area and is approximately 24 inches across. The symbolism used throughout was requested by the client.
