Among the many tasks undertaken for What Remains of Us, were these prop rat traps.
The scene required four traps. Each one (by request of the production designer) had to look more vicious than a standard trap and I was asked to “Put some nasty looking saw teeth on them or something”.
They also had to look aged, they had to still work but, most importantly of all, they had to be safe enough for an actor to put their fingers in. I created these to those specifications.
